I’m a bit too independent this Independence Day. Not lonely, exactly. Just not eager to be out in the mix. I’ve been content to sit in silent contemplation of my fellow countrymen. Well, one countryman to be exact, but he’s many hundreds of miles away, as per usual. Still, there are fireworks in my heart. I guess I just miss him.
